Warfighter - Wave #2 adds 4 Expansion Packs of cards and a massive Footlocker storage box to your Warfighter collection!
I'll post updates to the component images throughout the day.
Here's the first!
I asked the printer to create a mock-up of the Footlocker so everyone can see what it will look like...
Wow. I really underestimated the popularity of the Deep Dish Counter Tray Stretch Goal.
My first dozen emails were, "Where did the counter trays go???"
I've added them back, still at the $30k Stretch Goal level along with the Scenario Book. We'll add a free tray to every Footlocker! :)
We've replaced the Deep Dish Counter Tray at Stretch Goal at $30,000 for the Warfighter Scenario Book!
This printed book will be included in all the Footlocker boxes and will include both stand-alone Missions as well as multi-Mission Operations.
The best part... we're opening the book up to player submissions! If you have a cool Mission in mind, see the submission details in the Kickstarter, and send in your idea!
With this Stretch Goal, we'll be able to add Plastic Card Dividers with custom printed graphics!
We've made a few additions and clarifications in the original rule book. We've also added several new Traits: "Aircraft", "Team Pre-Req" and "Purchase XP" to some of the new cards. The updated rule book will be available for free PDF download on our website.
With this Stretch Goal, we'll be able to include an updated printed rule book in each Footlocker. We've also expanded Warfighter's Weapon list to included dedicated Machine Guns like the M60E3 and others. This led to the introduction of the "Machine Gun" weapon type, which necessitated the revision of several cards to include "Machine Gun" on their card text, such as the ACOG Sight.
When we do the 2nd printing of the 1st Wave games, we're updating the cards to include "Machine Gun". To make the 1st Wave games completely up to date, we're adding a deck of cards to the Footlocker, at no extra charge. The deck will include the updated ACOG, Red Dot, "M249 SAW Rifle" (which is now the "M249 SAW Machine Gun", and more.
We've also received many requests for Missions with more than 100 Resource Points to accommodate more Soldiers. To achieve this, we've updated all the Location and Objective cards with an extra Resource Point range.
We will include all the updated Locations and Objectives from the Core game and Expansions #1, #2, and #3, in the card deck included in the Footlocker. Again, free of charge.
Thank you all for the greatest Kickstarter opening we have ever had!
If anyone has any questions or comments on Warfighter, there are many Warfighter threads on www.boardgamegeek.com and the people there are extremely helpful! Many thanks to all those people who have jumped in to help new players with questions, and to share strategy tips. The MegaBlok photos are awesome!
Please enjoy the holiday season with friends and family, and we'll be back in a day or two with more news, new stretch goals, and more previews!
